But you will receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Mahalo to all those who supported our Pentecost Celebration held at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Your presence and/or prayers helped those who attend to experience a “renewed current of grace” as five (5) priests laid hands after Fr. Fredy delivered a stirring homily. Despite competing celebrations at several parishes, 100 people from 10 prayer groups showed to recommit to the HOLY SPIRIT in a Charismatic fashion. Though small in number, the anointing was so strong that a new charismatic prayer group was birthed! Praise GOD! Sts. Peter & Paul will start meeting on June 16.
The day begin with an hour of spirited praise and worship with a team made up of members from OLGC, St. Anthony Kalihi, Star of the Sea and Holy Trinity.
MASS was celebrated by the fiery Fr. John Fredy Quintero and con-celebrated by Fr. David Lupo, SSCC, Fr. Edgar Brillantes, and Fr. Sydney Fernandes; and later joined by HCCRS Co-spiritual director – Fr. Patrick Fanning, SSCC.
After MASS, many shared onolicious dishes at the Potluck Fellowship.
Thank you, Fr. Edgar and the Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Community for opening your doors to the Charismatic Renewal. Thank you also to the many hands involved in the planning (especially Chloe Samaniego) set-up, liturgy, take-down and potluck fellowship.
Mahalo Ke AKUA! Glory to GOD!
