Aloha MASS

Aloha is a Hawaiian Word that has a few English translations.  On October 12, 2018, 6:30p.m., HCCRS held a Healing MASS at Mary, Star of the Sea Church animated two of those meanings.

First, aloha means love. GOD’s love was evident in the many healings took place. Despite the warning of heavy rain and flooding, 100+ turned out and they were not disappointed.  The MASS and Sacramental Anointing of the Sick was celebrated by Fr. Patrick Fanning and Fr. Pat Labasano, SSS.

Second, aloha means goodbye.  Those attending had a chance to say goodbye to two HCCRS Servants,  Fr. Pat. (HCCRS Spiritual Director) and Dominic Olaso (HCCRS Chairperson). A month earlier, notices of their departure were given and accepted by HCCRS Diocesan Liaison, Msgr. Gary Secor, and HCCRS Director, Patricia Nevada.

HOLY SPIRIT has closed their doors with HCCRS, and opened new ones for them where HE can touch more people and “bring strength to the Church” (cf.Acts 15:41).  Fr. Pat will be ministering in Southern California, and Dominic will be focusing on building-up ministries with the Diocese and Maryknoll School.  Both have served HCCRS since 2013.

Thank YOU, HOLY SPIRIT, for allowing them to serve together one last time. “Shout To The LORD” was their swan song.
