Be ready!

PRAY FOR REVIVAL

Matthew 24:42-44

Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.

Don’t take it lightly! Revival is coming! And after that, judgement. We may not know the hour, but we can be sure that it will come. What does that mean to us right now? It means that we put on our armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), and we strive to live the kingdom principles – RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE and JOY in the Holy Spirit. We must forgive ourselves and each other. We must take up our cross daily, and we must run the race to its completion. Are you getting tired? Feeling overburdened? Take it to the Lord, and be refreshed with the living water, and the blood of Jesus Christ.

Choose to remember each morning the GOD LOVES us unconditionally – yes even though we are sinners, and fail in so many areas. His love is so great that He sent His one and only Son to die and rise that we might find SALVATION and freedom from those things which take our eyes off the only real prize – intimate relationship with our creator. And we have not been left needing anything to complete our mission. We have NEW LIFE, where the old sinful nature is put away and where we can begin with new mercies each morning -  where our testimony and the blood of the Lamb conquers the evil one, and empowers us to resist him (see Revelation 12:11). We have also been given SPIRITUAL GIFTS with which to strengthen the bride of Christ, the church. They are ineffective, though, if we don’t use them. Prophesy, miracles, discernment, etc. that is hidden in the closet, or under a bushel, cannot assist your brothers and sisters in overcoming, nor does it honor God to refuse to use them. Rather we must desire the greater gifts and follow the Captain of the host into battle.

1 Corinthians 1:4-9

I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge, as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you, so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]. God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Lord, BAPTIZE us in the fire of the Holy Spirit that we are encouraged to usher in Your revival with zeal. Help us to GROW into the mature saints You have created us to be, as we increase time spent in prayer, study of Your Word, service to all Your people, fellowship with one another, and finally in praise and worship. Each and every day TRANSFORM us from beings of this world, to creatures of light; from flesh to spirit; from children of this world, to heirs of Your kingdom. May we, like Mary, be able to fully and completely say, “Be it done to me according to Your Word!”
