HCCRS Welcomes Three New Prayer Groups

In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of GOD for you in CHRIST JESUS.  (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

On October 7, after a seven week Life In the SPIRIT Seminar, Our Lady of the Mount joined the family of Charismatic Prayer Groups.

Two weeks earlier, Honolulu Catholic Charismatic Young Adult Ministry formed on September 23.  Their Leadership team completed a weekend Life In the SPIRIT Seminar in March, attended the HCCRS Summer Conference in July, and SCRC Convention in Anaheim, CA. on Labor Day weekend to prepare for their ministry to Young Adults.

And, the next morning, 7 a.m., September 24, Waikiki Hungry Ministry added a Prayer Meeting to its mission.   It started out a 10 plus years ago as providing meals for those who were homeless or hungry at dawn on Saturday mornings.  Now, after the potluck, a few of the guests and servants gather to praise & worship the FATHER, witness of JESUS (closest moments), open and reflect on Scripture, and then pray in the SPIRIT for each others needs.  Glory to GOD!

SCRC Pilgrimage

SCRC 2016 On September 1-4, 2016, fourteen of us journeyed to the largest Catholic Charismatic gathering in the U.S.  Themed, “Merciful & Gracious Is The LORD‘, the Southern California Renewal Communities Annual Charismatic Convention at the Anaheim Convention Center has drawn 10,000+ Catholic Charismatics for the past several years.  The 3-day Convention provided a choice of 48 talks delivered by 34 speakers.  Programs included: Regular Talks, Christ Triumphant (Spiritual Warfare) Track, Teen Conference, Children’s Program, Spanish Language Track, Mega Healing Service, and Young Adult activities. Many ran concurrently and offered a wide variety for different ages and interests. For Regular and Special Track ticket holders, registrants attended a talk during each of 10 sessions spread out over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Each of the 24 talks had a speaker (sometimes two) as well as a music ministry.  Attendance at the popular talks were 3-4 times the size of our Annual Charismatic Conference.

Every day there was at least one large liturgy in the Arena.   Reconciliation, Rosary, Adoration, Liturgy of the Hours, Prayer Ministry and numerous Faith Building Vendors were also available throughout the weekend.

Mahalo Ke AKUA for allowing us to experience a grand-scale move of the HOLY SPIRIT, and get a glimpse into YOUR future plans for the islands.  Thank YOU also for the contacts YOU allowed us to make and the keynote speakers YOU will be bringing to Hawaii. Glory to GOD!
