The Life in the SPIRIT Seminars have been one of the best tools in the twentieth century for leading people to new life in the SPIRIT. These seminars have been so powerful because their authors wisely applied Biblical principles, official Church teachings and an emphasis on Baptism, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Eucharist.

Pope Francis recommends life in the SPIRIT Seminars.

“I ask you for your important contribution to be committed to share with all in the Church the Baptism you have received. You have lived this experience; share it in the Church. And this is the most important service – the most important that can be given to everyone in the Church. To help the People of GOD in their personal encounter with JESUS CHRIST, who changes us into new men and women….It would be very good to organize seminars of life in the SPIRIT, together with other Christian Charismatic realities, for brothers and sisters that live on the street: they also have the SPIRIT within that pushes them, so that someone outside will open wide the door.” -Pope Francis’ address to the international Catholic Charismatic Renewal: http://www.zenit.org/en/articles/pope-s-address-to-charismatic-renewal

“I ask all of you, each of you, that as part of the stream of grace of the Charismatic Renewal planning seminars of life in the SPIRIT, in your parishes, in your seminaries and schools … share the Baptism of the SPIRIT and your catechesis, because it is produced by the work [of the] HOLY SPIRIT through a personal encounter with JESUS, which changes lives.” -Pope Francis at an international retreat for priests: http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2015/06/12/pope_francis_leads_meditation_for_international_priests/1151173

“The breathing of Christians draws in the new air of the HOLY SPIRIT and then exhales it upon the world: it is the prayer of praise and missionary outreach. Share baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT with everyone in the Church.”  -Pope Francis’ address on the identity and mission of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal: http://www.news.va/en/news/pope-seek-the-unity-which-is-the-work-of-the-holy

HCCRS Pentecost MASS

Pentecost MASS 2018

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. (Acts 2:1-3)

On May 20, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., despite CONFIRMATION at the large parishes, faithful Charismatics from the Benedictine Monastery, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Kaneohe, Kalihi, Kaneohe, and West and East Honolulu still made an effort to gather at Holy Trinity in Kuli’ou’ou to “stir in the flame the gift from GOD” (2 Timothy 1:6).

At 1:30 p.m. an anointed praise & worship got so heated that we couldn’t feel the air conditioning.
Pentecost 2018 II
Fr. David Barfknecht, OSB celebrated MASS that followed at 2:00 p.m.  After the homily, he and Dcn. Jonathan Ocampo  prayed for a fresh baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT
A Potluck Fellowship followed at 3:30 p.m. with lots of delicious foods and sharing of heartfelt testimonies.

The SPIRIT brought many new faces and it was nice to see those who we haven’t seen in a while. Mahalo to all who added to the kindling of the SPIRIT.

Mahalo Ke AKUA!
